My Mum

Today, is my wonderful mum’s birthday!

She is absolutely the best mum in the world.

She is also the BEST GRANDMA IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

If there’s a toddlers hand to hold – she holds it, even when it’s sticky and gross!

Babies to snuggle? Babies to hold? Yep, she’s there.

When there’s reading to be done – you guessed it – she’s the best.

Mum lets my crazy kiddos braid her hair, wake her up by jumping on her bed at 6am – yep she’s a keeper!

She has not had an easy life – she raised my sister and I mostly alone and did a fantastic job. Hardworking, unwavering, keeping her high standards despite the circumstances, she was a source of strength to me growing up.

Thank you for travelling 6000 miles to visit me and my tribe twice a year for some many year on end. Thank you for being my mum. We all love you.

So have a great day – we love and appreciate you more than you will ever know.
