It’s A Wonderful Life
Hearing from everyone through cards, letters and calls is one of my favorite things about Christmas. To quote Clarence, the angel, from the movie, It’s a Wonderful Life,
“Remember, no man is a failure who has friends”.
So thank you all for filling my card holders. Hallelujah I am not a failure!
Today I am thankful for all those whom I have met over the years, in all the places we have lived and can still call friends. A preacher once said,” The only eternal thing in this room right are the souls of men and women.” You are precious and I’m thankful for you.
I don’t know about you but without God I can be very fearful of NEW things. Even a new year. Who knows what is in store for us all in 2011. We hope, we pray, we wait and then we see. It will be over before we know it.
Sometimes you experience things that you had been fearful of all your life and you know what? God is still there, faithful and true to all His promises.
Some people will tell you to ‘face your fears’. Yes, but not alone. We all need someone who will always be there, holding us by the hand and has walked ahead of us. Only God Almighty can fill that role for us. Nothing in life will go the way we think, even the 600 ways we think it could go, but we do not need to fear.
This is my verse for 2011 is 2 Tim1:7
“For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Have a blessed New Year friends! Love Kay
