This is by far one of the most requested recipes from my kitchen. It has been modified over the years to be a little less sweet, and I will give you some options so you can customize it as you like. But there is nothing like a bowl of homemade granola over some Greek yogurt to brighten your morning routine.

I remember about 35 years ago visiting a small Trader Joe’s store in Placentia, California and seeing bags of something called ‘Granola’. Growing up in England, the nearest thing we had was muesli from our Scandinavian friends – but that is raw oats and dried fruit soaked overnight. This was something on a whole other level. It was love at first bite, and I was immediately hooked. T.J.s’ sold a mango version,n but my favorite was the Apple Pie Granola. Ahh, those were the days! When my family grew to 7 and granola became a staple, I wanted to start making my own granola to control the ingredients.

So let’s do this thing!
