Gophers & Insects
The kids found this little stick guy climbing up the walls yesterday. They kept him, and they let him wander around the house until they lost him. This morning while grabbing my jeans from the closet he reappeared! Yes,I screamed, are you kidding?

Why did he pick my closet to stick his sticky self in ?
We also had some more Gary the Gopher fun. Maybe he was thinking, “Hey, those homeschoolers never look out their window they are so busy. I think I’ll just go for a walk.” But he was being watched. Good job it’s my sweet girl who loves to just watch and not my sling shot happy boys ! He must have been a wise kind of gopher!! He was really quite cute despite my hatred for these little devils who have in the past eaten my veggie garden and rose bushes to their little hearts content.

Anyway, these critters got me thinking how we often forget that someone is always watching. How we are never really lost. We don’t see God, we don’t audibly hear Him, yet He loves us, sees us, is watching out for our well being every moment of every day. He has the very best for us. Our heavenly Father is powerful and almighty, merciful and patient. He sees what is in our hearts. He is a good, good father who gives us exactly what we need – no need to fret or fear.

“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains: From whence shall my help come ?
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night.
The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.
The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.”
Ps 121:1-4
